Required Action Hero Line: "Wipe yourself off, man. You dead."

One of the best go-to cliches for action movies is the buddy-cop formula. In 1998, what was more entertaining than Jackie Chan's stunts and Chris Tucker's quick one-liners?

Although he was already a massive star in China and had appeared in a few movies that made it to America, this was Chan's big break into the US market. The late 90's were peak Chris Tucker years with the funny man appearing in Friday and The Fifth Element. He had previously teamed with director Brett Ratner for 1997's Money Talks.

The mix of Chan's wild martial arts stunts and Tucker's brand of comedy was a hit with audiences worldwide and Rush Hour would spawn two sequels with a rumored Rush Hour 4 in the works.
