2. Inception (2010)
Yeah, you all knew this one was coming. Christopher Nolan's visual masterpiece, and accomplished using as many practical effects as possible. As with 'What Dreams May Come', the looks the movie can have are limitless, since both movies are dictated by someone's imagination (or dreams). While the former film gives us lovely landscapes, Inception presents a world of impossibilities. A city folding in on itself, an exploding street side cafe', a spinning hallway, an endless staircase...
While many movies have weird "dream sequences", they're almost always unimpressive. Inception makes an entire
world out of dreams, and never ceases to amaze for a moment.
