15 PERFECT Scenes In Otherwise Disappointing Movies

7. Transformers - Dark Of The Moon: Battle of Chicago

The Lost World Sarah
Paramount Pictures

Transformers: Dark of the Moon might be better than its immediate predecessor, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, but then again, what isn't? Dark of the Moon is still a terrible film. The script is stupid and immature, Shia LaBeouf and Rosie Huntington Whitley are awful in it, Michael Bay's visual style is as hideous as ever and the story is entirely uninteresting.

As such, this movie really does put viewers through the wringer, but interestingly, unlike with Revenge of the Fallen, Age of Extinction and The Last Knight, they get rewarded for their patience. After 90 minutes of bulls**t, we get the Battle of Chicago, a ridiculously explosive final showdown between the outnumbered Autobots (and their human allies) and the Decepticons.

This entire battle, which goes on for around 45 minutes, is an unforgettably epic work of blockbuster film-making that's filled with great shots and heart-in-mouth moments, proving that Michael Bay does actually possess some talent, even though he rarely chooses to display it.

It's unlikely this will ever be topped in any other Transformers movie and it's a shame the franchise continued, since this would've been a great way to end the whole story.
