5. Yoda Has A Surprise Cameo - Star Wars: Episode VIII
The Twist: Yoda appears in the movie in some form, be it magically resurrected into a physical state, or more likely as a Force ghost.
Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Because, as with the possibility of Jyrn Erso being Rey's mother in Rogue One, it's just too fan-servicey. The Force Awakens was already far too reliant on plot points from A New Hope, but now fans are expecting Episode VIII to stand on its own a little more, and if it just brings back iconic, beloved characters for the sake of easy fanboy delight, then it's going to seem both cynical and lazy.
How Likely Is It?: Well, Frank Oz was recently spotted heading to the set, which is compelling if hardly concrete, but it would be very difficult for a Yoda appearance, even a cameo, to not seem totally ham-fisted. 3/10
