The Twist: It's anyone's guess what the twist might be, but considering that shocking, often nonsensical revelations are Shyamalan's forte, expect an utterly ridiculous surprise at the movie's climax. Was everyone dead the whole time? Or will the twist in fact be that there's no twist at all?
Why It Could Ruin The Movie: Shyamalan's twists are usually the worst thing about his movies, and if he hasn't learned his lesson enough to avoid putting a twist in his new movie, then expect more of the same this time.
The trailer doesn't exactly suggest a return to form for the Oscar-nominated writer-director, so expectations are pretty much through the floor for this one. Though there's the off-chance he could serve up a brilliant and unexpected shocker, it's pretty damn unlikely.
