6. The Cast Wasn't Aware Of Kong's True Size During Filming - Kong: Skull Island

While doing press for the new Kong movie, Samuel L. Jackson stated that he and the film's cast members actually had no fixed idea of how big King Kong was supposed to be, as whenever they asked producers or anyone else in a vague position of authority, they received constantly conflicting answers.

This is especially surprising in a film so heavily reliant on visual effects, where things as basic as eyelines need to be correct or they're going to cause problems during post-production. At least Kong is huge enough that looking in his general direction will usually get the job done.

Still, it seems shockingly amateur for such a huge, expensive film, and was perhaps a misstep on the part of director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, who had never worked on a blockbuster prior to this.
