15 Terrible Looking 2016 Movies That Will Shockingly Make A Profit
7. Bridget Jones's Baby
The Premise: Bridget Jones (Renée Zellweger) is now in her 40s, and unexpectedly falls pregnant, but of course, she's not sure whether the father is her ex Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) or her new lover, Jack Qwant (Patrick Dempsey).
Why It Looks Awful: It's the unnecessary sequel to an unnecessary sequel, and looks to be desperately recalling the prior films as much as possible to grab some more cash from those nostalgic for their 20s and 30s. The gags look incredibly low-effort, and everyone's clearly in it for the payday above telling a worthwhile story.
Why It'll Make A Profit: The original film made $281 million and the sequel $262 million, so even if it only makes half of either of these films, it'll still have made its budget back about four-times over. No chance of a flop here.
