7. Maisie Williams As Wolfsbane

The Film: X-Men: New Mutants

The future of the X-Men franchise will feature two key performances by female Game Of Thrones stars. First we'll see Sophie Turner hopefully build on her unfortunately not universally appreciated take on Jean Grey in X-Men: Dark Phoenix, and even more excitingly, we'll also see her Westeros sister Maisie Williams playing Wolfsbane in Josh Boone's New Mutants.

It's an intriguing prospect not only because Williams is so great as Arya in Game Of Thrones, but also because the character offers something we've not seen in X-Men movies so far - a super-powered version of lycanthropy.

There's inevitably some potential for unfortunate Teenwolf-style effects - particularly as Wolfsbane can transform to a mid-stage between girl and wolf - but Williams is a charismatic enough star to make that arguably not so much of a concern. And hopefully, her billing means we'll see an X-Men movie legitimately led by a female character.
