15 Worst Comic Book Movie Sequels Ever
3. Superman IV

Here's all the indication of how good Superman IV is: it is classed not just as one of the worst sequels ever, or the worst comic book movies ever, but as one of the worst movies ever made. That puts it at the bottom of a pile of millions of films, tens of Nic Cage and Adam Sandler films and everything Uwe Boll has ever done. Well, maybe not that last one.
There is something to be said for the return of Gene Hackman as Lex Luthor, but unfortunately he's saddled with his version of Scrappy Doo (his nephew Lennie) and a ridiculous evil scheme that ends up unwittingly birthing Nuclear Man. Sure, there's camp value, but when you spend every second Nukes is on screen wondering how the hell he can be a clone of Superman and yet look precisely nothing like him, something is wrong.
It also doesn't help that the film tries for intellect, in its anti-Nuke embedded PSA and just comes off cloying and ill-conceived.
