15 Worst Comic Book Movie Sequels Ever
13. Blade: Trinity
Guillermo Del Toro was always going to be the best creative partner for Blade movies, which is precisely why his Blade II is the best in the series (at least so far). Unfortunately for David S Goyer - the man charged with following him in the franchise - he also left big shoes to fill.
If this film proves one thing more than any other, it's that Goyer - known for being an instrumental part of Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy - has a "patchy" record at best. And he should probably stick to writing.
In his hands, what really should have been another R-rated, attitude-filled ballet of violence became a commercially minded, boring affair starring Triple H and criminally wasting Ryan Reynolds. No wonder Wesley Snipes is so obviously asleep for most of it.
