15 Worst Comic Book Movie Villains Of All Time
13. Nuclear Man - Superman IV
Played By: Mark Pillow
When Superman III failed, Warner Bros somehow thought that ploughing straight on with Supergirl and Superman IV was the right way to get their cash-spinning super franchise back on track. Sadly, they then also decided to some of the worst villains in comic book history to both, making any sort of redemption impossible.
Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor might have been a positive return to the fourquel, but he was saddled with Jon Cryer's Scrappy Doo sidekick and the simply baffling Nuclear Man. He was basically presented as a Bizarro-like clone of Superman, created by accident by the Man Of Steel himself in an origin that left a lot to be desired.
Most confusingly, he looked nothing like Superman and for some reason sounded like Gene Hackman. This was not a high-point for the superhero genre.
