15 Worst Superhero Movie Moments Since 2000

8. Watchmen: Hallelujah

Batman V Superman Martha
Warner Bros.

Regardless of what you think of this famously polarising film, one thing everyone can agree on is that this ghastly sex scene is about as embarrassing as film moments get.

This love scene between Nite Owl (Patrick Wilson) and Silk Spectre (Malin Akerman), which takes place in Nite Owl's plane, is not only passionless and carries no emotional weight, but it's done in cringe-worthy slow motion and is sound-tracked to, of all things, Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah.

Hallelujah is a fantastic song, so it's a testament to how dreadful this scene is that it'll make you temporarily hate it.

At the end, just when you think it can't get any worse, Silk Spectre hits a button and sends a huge gout of flame flying out of the pod in some incredibly unsubtle sex imagery. It's the cherry on a dire cake.
