16 Brilliant WTF Moments From Kung Fury

There's a show-stealing cameo by David Hasselhoff, playing the HOFF9000 - a thinly veiled reference to Knight Rider's KITT - who banters with Fury in a flash-back to the opening battle sequence with the animated arcade machine, including the teeth-jarringly cringe-worthy line:

"Did anyone never tell you not to hassle the Hoff9000?"

But at least it fits.

That's not the extend of Hasselhoff's involvement in the project, as he's also been given the auspicious accolade of singing the theme tune: a deliciously '80s ditty that should be number one in multiple countries, if there's any justice. It's pretty much guaranteed to achieve that in Germany.

The music video is on a similarly ludicrous level to the film itself, repurposing action sequences to include the Hoff in place of Fury and brilliantly cutting between a very obviously terrible stunt double in a bad wig for kung fu displays and Hoff/

The best thing about it is that it's entirely believable that Hasselhoff would have made this song and video of his own accord if given the opportunity:
