18 Actors You Totally Forgot Were In Marvel Movies
17. Brian Posehn - Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer
Despite the comparatively few leading man credits on his CV, Brian Posehn is probably one of the most recognisable actors currently picking up solid supporting roles in comedies. He has one of those faces that you just remember, combined with a presence designed to work beautifully for hangdog, awkward characters and a voice that matches his look quite wonderfully.
It still might come as a shock that he appeared very briefly in the God-awful Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer, given how recognisable he is. But then, maybe that's because we've all subconsciously decided to edit that atrocity out of the comic book genre.
Posehn turned up as the minister overseeing Reed Richards and Sue Storm's wedding at the film's start, which is so rudely interrupted by the arrival of the Silver Surfer. The fact that they cast a comedian in that role for a bit of added mirth tells you all you need to know about that film's issues with tone.
