18 Crucial Questions For 2015's Most Anticipated Movies

14. How Convincing Is Brian's Exit? - Furious 7

Release Date: April 3rd The Furious 7 production hit an impossible hurdle last November with the tragic, sudden death of Paul Walker in a car accident, completely derailing the original July 2014 release date as the filmmakers scrambled to make sense of how to finish the movie. The key problem, of course, was how to write Walker's character Brian O'Conner out of the movie and also keep him present in as many partially-filmed scenes as possible. It has been confirmed that Brian will be retired from the franchise rather than killed off, and reportedly body doubles (including two of Walker's own brothers) combined with CGI will be used to finish shots that Walker had not yet filmed. On one hand, Brian's exit could be handled with dignity and give the series its most emotional moment, and on the other, it could be a mess, and frankly, nobody would blame them for that. Verdict: James Wan and Universal have had a lot of time to work around Walker's death, and given how much all involved clearly care about giving Walker a suitable send-off, it's fair to expect a respectable retirement that might be a little rough around the edges, but gives the actor and the character a fitting, final tribute.
