Release Date: April 3rd The Furious 7 production hit an impossible hurdle last November with the tragic, sudden death of Paul Walker in a car accident, completely derailing the original July 2014 release date as the filmmakers scrambled to make sense of how to finish the movie. The key problem, of course, was how to write Walker's character Brian O'Conner out of the movie and also keep him present in as many partially-filmed scenes as possible. It has been confirmed that Brian will be retired from the franchise rather than killed off, and reportedly body doubles (including two of Walker's own brothers) combined with CGI will be used to finish shots that Walker had not yet filmed.
