The Question: The smart money is on Professor X (Patrick Stewart) definitely biting it in Wolverine's (Hugh Jackman) upcoming solo movie, but considering this is Jackman's apparently final time playing the character, and he spends most of it protecting a young girl (Dafne Keen), wouldn't it be all-so-apt if he died at the end? Will it happen, though?
The Likely Answer: An incredibly difficult one to settle on, because it absolutely could happen, but it's also a fairly predictable road to go down. Would it be dramatically satisfying? Under the right circumstances, absolutely, but it'd potentially also leave X-23 on her own if Xavier also dies, so it'd be a real bummer.
We'll go with no, because Jackman has already about-turned on this being 100% his last Wolverine movie, and killing him off only to resurrect him with a new actor in a few years would be incredibly confusing to more casual audiences. Plus, why definitively close the door on such an iconic, beloved character?
