10. Sin City: A Dame To Kill For Is A Huge Box Office Bomb

Though it was reasonable to expect that the long-gestating Sin City sequel might not have reaped the same box office glory as the original due to the 9 year wait, numerous re-castings and the rather poor marketing campaign, surely few expected that A Dame to Kill For would only gross barely half of its $65 million budget. The film garnered mixed reviews (though in reality wasn't that bad at all), and while it fell far short of the original's visceral quality, it sure as hell didn't deserve to flop as colossally as it did. Given how much effort Robert Rodriguez put into getting the film made, it's a shame audiences didn't turn up for it.
