13. Arachnophobia
The film that was single-handedly responsible for everyone checking their slippers, shower heads and toilet seats before using any of them for decades afterwards. The combination of a shower scene and a spider might not seem all that scary, but there's something irresistible and horrible about the vulnerability of the shower and the relentless creepy march of eight legs. And to not know that the spider is crawling down your body because of the cascade of water? Horrific. That's just a big load of nope right there.
