20 Awesome Horror Villains Introduced In TERRIBLE Movies
9. Chromeskull - Laid to Rest
Never underestimate the impact of an awesome-looking mask.
Case in point we have Laid to Rest, a basic assembly slasher that in the very least gave horror fans quite the memorable antagonist - ChromeSkull (Nick Principe).
Not just a clever name, ChromeSkull indeed rocks a chrome skull mask as well as two gigantic hunting knives, but here comes the real rub - he also records his kills with a camera mounted to his shoulder.
Outside of ChromeSkull's cool look and cute gimmick, though, there's little here to savour beyond some outrageous gore, which was at least enough to make the film something of a cult hit.
Though a sequel was produced in 2011, franchise creator Robert Hall sadly passed away suddenly in 2021, seemingly bringing ChromeSkull's brief cinematic tenure to an end.
In much the same way that Terrifier's Art the Clown became a global icon out of humble beginnings, though, it's easy to see how ChromeSkull could've become a viral hit after another sequel or two.
