20 Best James Bond Gadgets

7. BMW 750iL (Tomorrow Never Dies)

We're not quite sure what possessed Bond to ditch the Aston Martins and Lotuses for the BMWs, but at least the 750iL wasn't short of a trick or two. Not only did it feature more hidden weaponry than even his famed DB5, but it was also - and here's the kicker - remote controllable via his Sony Ericsson mobile phone. If you can forgive the fact that 007 looks more like a bank clerk than a secret agent in his luxury German sedan, the 750iL actually features in one of the most exciting car chases in Bond history. Filmed primarily in a multi-story car park, it took seventeen separate BMWs (each specially adapted for various purposes) to complete the scene. If you're into car tyres that re-inflate themselves and sun roofs that conceal rockets, this is probably the chase sequence for you. At one point, Bond actually controls the car via his phone from the back seat. We considered making a joke about back seat driving, but decided it would be too predictable.
