20 Biggest Movies Of 2016: What Do We Already Know?

15. Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them

Release Date: November 18th, 2016. Who's Involved: David Yates, who directed the last four Potter films, is helming once again, while J.K. Rowling is adapting her own 2001 book in her screenwriting debut. Casting is yet to be announced. What's The Story?: A spin-off set in the Harry Potter universe, Beasts takes place in 1920s New York and revolves around Newt Scamander, a young man who is fascinated with magical beasts and in Potter lore eventually becomes a magizoologist. Will It Be Any Good?: Warner Bros. certainly thinks so, as they've already announced release dates for two sequels in November of 2018 and 2020. It'll absolutely print money, though it might struggle to capture the same magic (pun intended) as the Potter series, especially without the presence of Daniel Radcliffe.
