20 Comic Book Films You Should Die Before You See

13. The Punisher

1989’s The Punisher starred Dolph Lundgren, was directed by Mark Goldblatt (Dead Heat) and went straight to video in the US, so listing it feels like mocking the afflicted.

This 2004 reboot, however, starred Thomas Jane and John Travolta and was scripted by Jonathan Hensleigh (Die Hard With A Vengeance), so it really has no excuse.

Formulaic, cliché-ridden and unexciting, it’s no surprise when Steven Seagal regular Mark Collie (Fire Down Below, Kill Switch) turns up as a villain.
