20 More Everyday Challenges Movies & TV Make Look So Easy

3. Staying Quiet/Motionless In Threatening Situations

Hidinghorror I never get the feeling that a villain finds the girl in hiding because they can hear her or see her moving. I think they find her because they can sense that she's there. So, how does the girl in hiding suppress her natural body functioning in order to remain hidden and silent? As mentioned before, if I have to outrun someone, my body would be in shambles. I'm not that active a human being. I would never be able to control my breathing, for one, no matter how hard I press my hands over my mouth. Somehow leading ladies can manage to get their wits together and successfully mute themselves, even if it is in vain - as they always end up in the direct path of the storm.

2. Cuddling/Spooning At Night

500 Days Summer This is probably one of the worst misconceptions about relationships that movies and TV are directly responsible for. Always with the cuddling under the covers! Always with the holding each other before going to sleep and still holding each other eight hours later when they wake up! This just doesn't happen, people. It is rare that I remain in one position while sleeping - even more rare is being in the same position under a blanket while watching a movie on the couch. Just last night I was watching a movie with my boyfriend and we must have shifted around seven or eight times after we started watching it, while cuddling. We ended up on opposite sides of the couch by the time the credits started to roll. It just gets too hot or someone is on someone's hair, the sheets get tangled up, and your arm ends up falling asleep. It is just too damn uncomfortable to make sense!
