5. Shutting Down Our Parents/Superiors There is nothing we love more than thinking of what we would say to our parents or bosses after they berate or embarrass us. We keep our mouthes closed though. Why? Because we know that if we dont, well suffer more serious consequences. It is in TV and movies that we see our heroes standing up to the man, slapping their superiors in the face with well thought-out, lucid, swear-free explanations that ensure a swift and clean dramatic exit. Personally, my favorite part is panning out and seeing the mom or boss in deep thought with a theyre right, youre a monster look on their face. In real life, though, what would happen is that we would get called back into the living room or office, get stripped of any privileges we may have already, and get loaded with guilt until we walk out rethinking how we originally felt about the situation. Next time your mother makes a comment about your future, see it as a molehill, not a mountain. 4. Intricate Hair Styles I have long hair and the reason I keep it long is so that, if I ever feel so inclined, I can have more to work with when making a beautiful up-do or braided masterpiece that will compliment a sexy wardrobe quite nicely. Does that happen ever? No. My arms are only so strong and I can only have them above my head working with strands of hair that are too long to handle for short periods of time. So, how do characters, especially high schoolers, have enough time to show up with a hairstyle I know for a fact takes a minimum of half an hour to create without the application of hairspray? It is so frustrating! I am, by no means, a gifted braider, but I can curl my own hair just fine! So why do they look so much better than me? Hair stylists.
