20 Horror Movies That Made You Root For The Wrong Person

Video nasties have generated such controversy over the years, so a horror film centred around the subject matter was inevitable. Which brings us to Censor.
This 2021 psychological horror focuses on Enid, a censor review journalist who despises violence. While reviewing a slasher, Enid notices the lead actress, Alice, has an uncanny resemblance to her sister, who disappeared as a child. As Enid begins to investigate, she finds her whole world turning upside down.
Although Enid is unstable, you can't really judge her, since she's blatantly traumatised by her sister's disappearance. Even when she offs a producer, you still don't blame Enid, since he was forcing himself upon her and she killed him by accident. But during the climax, Enid's behaviour becomes unjustifiable.
As she loses her grip on reality, Enid marches onto the set of Alice's new movie and butchers an actor and the director. She then kidnaps Alice, even after it's clear she isn't Enid's sister at all. It's also implied Enid murdered her sibling years ago, indicating our "hero" has had a screw loose since childhood. Even if Enid didn't put her sis in the ground, nobody's cheering her on by the time the credits roll.
