Release Date: July 25th Following Woody Allen's recent run of form, Magic In The Moonlight is a romantic comedy about an Englishman brought in to help unmask a possible swindle in 1920s France during the swinging, affluent Jazz Age. That's about all that official plot details are offering, but you have to suspect that Allen will continue his Europhile fascination, and perhaps blend in some of the magic realism that marked Midnight In Paris. Either way, the joy will be in the dynamic Allen creates between characters, and with a cast including Emma Stone, Colin Firth, Eileen Atkins, Marcia Gay Harden, and Hamish Linklater it's likely to be an engaging affair for Allen fans (as well as those drawn in by the success of Blue Jasmine). The Selling Point: It's a Woody Allen, and the cast is typically impressive. The Concerns: After some successes, Allen is due one of his traditional drops in form - however relative - and his recent publicity is hardly going to earn him any new fans.
