4. The Stand

Josh Boone has been attached to this adaptation for quite some time, but it actually looked like the new version of The Stand might be dead for a while there. There's been a recent update though, as The Tracking Board reported that it's heading to CBS All Access, which also has Star Trek: Discovery.

Originally, Boone had planned to make this a four-part movie series to do justice to the 800 plus page book and enthusiastically talked it up back in 2014, when that looked like a real possibility. At least to him.

The goals have shifted now and a TV series is probably a better move for the property and now that New Mutants should be finished (hopefully), Boone should have the time to put in what he needs to. Given that he's a huge King fan, there's reason for other fans to be excited, as there's no way he'll let the material suffer on his watch.
