Release Date: TBC 2016 Set in Boston in 1978, Ben Wheatleys Free Fire, which tells of the meeting and subsequent shootout of two gangs in a deserted warehouse, looks set to be the British directors first foray outside of England. One of the shining lights in British film, Wheatleys previous efforts (inc. Kill List, Sightseers, A Field in England) have been deeply English, as have his casts. It will be interesting, then, to see how he deals with subject matter and acting talent on the other side of the pond. The synopsis reads much like Reservoir Dogs, and with Wheatley at the helm that can only be a good thing. As a side note, Free Fire has already won the best
poster of 2016 competition.
