20 Moments That Will Define Upcoming DC Movies

6. Carrie Farris Becomes Star Sapphire (Justice League)

The Moment: You probably don't remember the name Carrie Farris from Man of Steel, but you might remember that young, attractive member of the U.S. Army who tells her superior officer, "I think kinda hot" after a brief encounter with the superhero. Well, Farris is an obvious nod to the comic book character Carol Ferris, who is a love interest of Hal Jordan (aka Green Lantern) in the comics, and later becomes Star Sapphire, who has served as both a supervillain and hero in various iterations of the comic. Given that Farris is confirmed to be returning in Batman v Superman, it seems likely that Sapphire may well make an appearance sometime down the line. When It Will Happen: Not for a while. During one of the Justice League movies seems like the safest bet, as the canvas will be larger to allow an expanded roster. Why It Will Define The Movie: Because it'll provide an easy way to connect Green Lantern to Superman and the DCCU as a whole, and if Farris really does turn out to be a version of Ferris, she can erase those bad memories of Blake Lively's turn as the character in 2011's Green Lantern movie.
