7. "I Just Think He's Kinda Hot" - Man Of Steel

Man of Steel is a mostly dour, grim movie, and as such a lot of the attempts at comic relief end up eliciting more groans than laughs as they feel so wildly out of place.

One comes right at the end of the movie after Superman flies away from General Swanwick, and his subordinate, Captain Ferris, can't wipe a smile off her face. Swanwick asks, "What are you smiling about, captain?", and she replies, "Nothing, sir...I just think he's kinda hot."

Perhaps it just feels wrong to field out such a blatant and unnecessary comedy gag mere minutes after Metropolis has been thoroughly torn apart by General Zod's onslaught, but it also makes the one cardinal sin of comic relief: it's not funny.
