20 Movies That Will Win Oscars In 2023
11. Everything Everywhere All At Once
It's so incredibly difficult to gauge how Everything Everywhere All At Once will perform with the wider Oscar voting body, given the film's wonderfully bewildering narrative and high-energy execution.
But even the crustiest of Academy members will struggle to argue with both Michelle Yeoh's outstanding performance and the film's superlative presentation on such a modest budget.
It's tough to ascertain exactly where the film will hit hardest, but given that it could secure nominations for Picture, Director, Original Screenplay, Film Editing, Actress (Yeoh), Supporting Actor (Ke Huy Quan), and Visual Effects, it's hard to see it going home with nothing.
Original Screenplay and Supporting Actor are probably the most likely victories given that both categories often reward work in more left-field nominees that veer far from Oscar-baiting cliches.
In an ideal world it'll be a major contender for Best Picture, but we probably won't be that lucky, sadly.
