Another one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's finest, Captain America: Civil War was a great opening to Phase 3 of the MCU and, alongside 2015's highly enjoyable Ant-Man, it pretty much redeemed the MCU in the wake of the bitterly disappointing Avengers: Age of Ultron.

There are mistakes here and there with Civil War, but they're largely minor ones that don't take away from the epic entertainment the entire movie provides. It's a terrifically entertaining action movie with some excellent dramatic moments within all the mayhem, making this a truly well-rounded piece. Better still, it introduced Tom Holland's Spider-Man, who is the best film Spider-Man to date.

It was a rare great movie from 2016, which was a pitifully bad year for films, and it was one of that year's finest.
