20 Past MCU Easter Eggs That Will Mean Something In Phase 3
9. Adam Warlock's Cocoon (Guardians Of The Galaxy)
On of the many living exhibits that were clearly visible in the Collector's ample array of rare items, artefacts and beings in his museum on Knowhere was an odd looking pod visible in both the mid-credits scene of Thor: The Dark World and the main body of the Guardians Of The Galaxy film. The pod is quite clearly the cocoon of a character who will play a pivotal part in Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe - Adam Warlock. In the comic books, Warlock was a human created to be perfect. He headed off into space and became something much more - a cosmic being of sorts - and he was one of the key heroes in stopping Thanos in the Infinity Gauntlet storyline. He will no doubt appear in Guardians Of The Galaxy 2, before going on to play an equally key role in the Infinity War movies. In fact, in the post-credits scene of Guardians Of The Galaxy, when Howard the Duck was talking, his pod appeared to be behind Howard and it looked like it was open, so Warlock may already be loose - and there are rumours that he may turn out to be the father of Peter Quill aka Star-Lord.
