Expect Furious 7 to be the series' critical and commercial peak, for while the set-pieces in Fast 8 look absolutely bonkers, the Evil Dom plot could end up the wrong side of dumb (especially as it seems painfully obvious he's being blackmailed), and it may struggle to one-up what has come before it.

It'll still do marvelous business at the box office, but the problem with a series as insane as this is that it's eventually going to run out of mileage, short of actually going to outer space. This may be the wheel-spinning entry that sets the comedown in motion.
