Predicted Critical Consensus: "Action-packed and surprisingly affecting, Godzilla: King of the Monsters delivers the expected monster smackdown while pointing towards the future of the MonsterVerse."

Both previous entries into the MonsterVerse - 2014's Godzilla and Kong: Skull Island - hold a 75% Tomatometer score, and from what we've seen so far, it'd be pretty damn surprising if this Godzilla sequel didn't end up the crowned king of the franchise.

The marketing has done a splendid job selling the insane spectacle, and as long as the human element doesn't overshadow the monsters beating the snot out of each other, this could end up one of the summer's most viscerally satisfying blockbusters.
