16. Passengers (97%)

Predicted Critical Consensus: "Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence's boundless chemistry adds up to make Passengers an uncommon sci-fi bursting with heart, while director Morten Tyldum makes the most of a thought-provoking script."

By far one of the year's most anticipated films, Passengers not only pairs two of the most beloved young actors together as lovers, but touts an intriguing sci-fi-romance hook, with a screenplay that wound up on Hollywood's prestigious Black List almost a decade ago.

Giving it more awards ammunition is the fact that early scenes screened for industry exhibitors were rapturously received, and Morten Tyldum previously earned a Best Director nomination for his work on The Imitation Game.

If this isn't one of the year's big hits critically, commercially and awards-wise, it would be a huge surprise.
