20 Things The X-Men Movies Actually Got Right

1. Hugh Jackman As Wolverine

X-Men Days Of Future Past
Fox

What more can be said about Hugh Jackman as Wolverine?

Perhaps the single greatest casting choice in superhero history, contended only by Robert Downey Jr and Christopher Reeve. Hugh Jackman brought all the elements you would expect from Wolverine and knocked the performance out of the park.

We see Jackman develop the character from a nobody fighting in the hills of Alaska all the way to the grizzled old veteran we see in Logan. Combine this with the insane workout routine that he went through for these films and having to grow and maintain THOSE sideburns, it's clear that Jackman was the MVP of the X-Men franchise.

It was a sad day when Jackman hung up the claws and decided to leave the role after Logan. It's a void that will be near impossible to fill for any actor donning the black and yellow suit.
