Edgar Wright has seen so many films in his life that he was able to create a list of his favourite 1000 movies. The film at the top of that list? Raising Arizona.

While its style and comedy isn't for everyone, it certainly speaks to the right person in a big way. Wright rewatched it as recently as April 18th 2020 as a double bill with Evil Dead II, tweeting that "the screen can barely hold the creative energy" and that they made him "want to make movies more than ever".

It's also the film that Matthew McConaughey says he's seen the most times, calling it "his comedy" and "the most quotable" movie he's ever seen.
