10. Predators Have An Advanced Culture That's Been Fleshed Out In Comics And Games
The original Predator didn't have much backstory. A bunch of ripped military men on a secret mission to a terrorist hideout in the jungle start being stalked and killed one by one to be trophies. Arnold Schwarzenegger's Dutch is the last man standing and has it out with the Predator before the creature nukes the jungle. Fade to black.
The extended Predator world, though, has created an elaborate backstory for the race. They live in a very stratified society that is led by the females of the species, who are often larger and stronger than regular Predators. As Predators grow, they move through different levels of status.
Un-blooded are Predators who have not yet experienced any hunt; that status changes to Young blood when the first kill is made. Elite Predators are those who have proven their prowess as hunters and made many kills. Eventually, Elites become Leaders, responsible for heading their extended clan family. Predators who survive into old age become Elders, who are the teachers and rule keepers of Predator society. The oldest, wisest, and toughest Predators become the Ancients, the most revered members of Predator society.
The key test for a growing Predator, however, is to become Blooded. Predators become Blooded when they kill what is considered their ultimate prey, a Xenomorph...
