20 Things You Didn't Know About The Predator
6. Although Humans Are Seen As Sport, Predators Will Also Accept And Reward Them If Worthy
Humans who are seen as particularly skilled and defeat a Predator in combat or who kill a Xenomorph are highly regarded by Predator culture.
In the Dark Horse Comics line, two humans, Caryn Delacroix and Machiko Noguchi, are so highly regarded as hunters and warriors that they are adopted into Predator clans and become valued members of their society. Predators have fought alongside humans who prove themselves worthy in combat or when they realize they are in need of allies.
Predators have also been known to reward humans who successfully kill another Predator. A Predator Elder gifts Batman a sword after Batman defeats the Gotham City Predator. Another Elder gives Danny Glover an 18th century pirate flintlock at the end of Predator 2. Alex Woods, who survived encounters with both Predators and Xenomorphs, is given a Predator spear when an Elder Predator notes the Xenomorph acid burn on her cheek, marking her as a Blooded warrior.
A Predator's code of honour doesn't allow them to harm or kill a human who is not capable of properly fighting back, for example if they are ill (like Charles Weyland in Alien vs Predator) or pregnant (like Detective Cantrell in Predator 2.)
So, while they may be vicious, highly-skilled killers, at least they're not complete a*****es about it.
