20 Things You Somehow Missed In Alfred Hitchcock Movies

20. Dogs, Dogs, DOGS

Dogs seem to prominently feature in many of Hitchcock’s films. Sometimes, they’re an important part of the plot, and other times they’re just present for the sake of being aesthetically pleasing.

Arguably, the most well-known example is the dog in Rear Window – owned by a middle-aged couple, he likes to dig flowers out of the neighbour’s garden. He has a sad fate when he is strangled to death by Thorwald.

But there are other examples, such as the dog guarding Rebecca’s room, or when Guy comes face to face with a dog on the stairs of Bruno's home (Strangers on a Train), or the simple cameo of Alfred Hitchcock himself walking two white Sealyham Terriers (The Birds).
