20 Things You Somehow Missed In Alien
14. The Blue Laser
The eerie image of the Alien egg chamber was (in a movie where practically every scene qualified for this title) one of the most striking visuals in the entire film. The dropped-out floor, the hundreds of sinister, living pods, H.R Giger's now-legendary set design, and, of course, the fine blue light that washed across it all.
If there was a vague feeling of familiarity to this scene then that probably means you saw The Who live in concert in either the late '70s or early '80s. The band were rehearsing on a soundstage next door when a visiting Ridley Scott asked if he could borrow their blue laser to add to the scene.
