Arguably the most iconic scene, in a movie filled with iconic scenes, is when Mia Wallace drags Vincent Vega up to dance in Jack Rabbit Slim's. Even anyone who hasn’t ever actually seen Pulp Fiction has seen Uma Thurman and John Travolta boogie down.

The scene comes about when Mia wants to dance in the diner's twist competition. She wants to have fun, she wants to win the trophy, and she tells Vincent that he better dance well. The latter is certainly debatable at best, as they are both high as a kite, but they still went home with the trophy.

That doesn’t necessarily mean that they won the trophy, however. Yes, they left with the trophy, but winning wasn’t the only way to get their hands on it, particularly when they could just steal it from whoever did win. This is exactly what happened. As iconic as the dance is, it’s not exactly worthy of winning any competitions.

This was confirmed when Butch was heading to his apartment to retrieve his watch, and walked past a house with the radio on. This news report confirmed that the trophy had been stolen from Jack Rabbit Slim’s, and based on the actual chronology of the movie, this has to be thanks to Mia and Vincent.
