Whether you adored each and every Sequel offering that ultimately arrived in theatres or were left feeling somewhat underwhelmed by a hit-and-miss trilogy of Skywalker Saga entries, there is something every Star Wars fan can likely agree on: the hype was real coming into Episode VII.

Ten years on from the divisive Prequels wrapping up, Disney's first Episode since purchasing George Lucas' Force-sensitive brainchild promised a fascinating merging of generations, with the likes of Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, and Carrie Fisher sharing the screen with a bunch of wide-eyed newcomers to the galaxy far, far away...

And for the most part, The Force Awakens delivered what many had been desperately wishing for when those captivating first trailers landed online coming up to a decade ago.

The vibes were strong with J. J. Abrams' tale set 30 years on from the fall of the Empire as audiences connected with an intriguing next chapter in the epic tale, one over-flowing with vibrant action and compelling characters.

Not even the fact much of the story felt like it had been lifted straight from A New Hope could keep folks from returning to theatres for multiple thrilling jumps to hyperspace.

But even after all of those repeat viewings of this hopeful start to the Sequel Trilogy, you still probably didn't catch all of the glorious detail and Easter eggs J. J. and the gang managed to sneak into this return of the Jedi and more...

20. The Rathtar Indiana Jones Connection

Episode VII definitely boasted a ton of wonderful practical beings on everything from Jakku to Takodana. But The Force Awakens also contained its fair share of eye-catching CGI alien creations, too.

Perhaps the most memorable, alongside Lupita Nyong'o's Maz Kanata, popped up during the moments that follow the return of the iconic Han Solo and Chewbacca. And it's during that on-screen debut for the rolling balls of terror known as the Rathtars aboard the Eravana that a rather subtle Easter egg rumbled into your ears without you likely realising.

According to one of the film's supervising sound editors David Acord (via Business Insider), that noise heard when one of the beasts roll after our favourite smuggling duo was actually the exact same one used for the boulder in Raiders of the Lost Ark as Indiana Jones tries not to get squished.
