The actual location of 742 Evergreen Terrace is often argued about (and constantly joked about on the show), but an actual replication of The Simpsons family home was built in Henderson, Nevada, back in 1997. The colours and interior were toned down a little to conform to the regulations of the local homeowners€™ association, which was handy because it was sold off after being intended as a contest prize, only for the winner to go for the cash prize of $75,000 instead of moving in.
