7. Charli XCX - Herself (The Moment)
Pop star Charli XCX is set to have one hell of a cinematic coming-out party in 2026, given that she's filmed roles in five movies due to release this year, including her own A24-produced mockumentary project The Moment.
Charli will star as a fictionalised version of herself in a drama that's said to explore an alternate reality where she made "entirely different choices" surrounding the release of her 2024 smash hit album Brat.
Music mockumentaries are nothing new - This Is Spinal Tap and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping being the best of the bunch - but it's incredibly uncommon for them to revolve around an existing artist, especially one as famous as Charli.
The jury's still out on whether she can thread the needle to deliver a compelling "performance" - whatever that means in the context of a meta-fiction piece like this - but it's certainly one hell of a bold way to start an acting career.
