20 Worst Movies Of 2022 (So Far)

The latest release from Netflix's long-running partnership with Adam Sandler's production company Happy Madison, Home Team stars Kevin James as New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton, who after being suspended from the NFL for a year, decides to coach his son's middle-school football team.

Everybody you expect to be here shows up - namely Rob Schneider, Taylor Lautner, and Sandler's wife Jackie - for an unbearably earnest sports "comedy" that largely forgets to be funny.

Even if you can get over James' fundamental miscasting as Payton, Home Team bungles a potentially intriguing, ripped-from-the-headlines story that probably would've benefitted from a more serious-minded treatment.

If hardly the worst film to emerge from the Happy Madison stable, that's more a comment about the company's output than the quality of this movie.
