20 Worst Movies Of 2022 (So Far)

5. The King's Daughter

By far the most interesting thing about this dreadful fantasy film is the story of its production - far more compelling than anything in the movie itself, in fact.

The King's Daughter was actually filmed all the way back in 2014, yet for reasons unknown it became caught in post-production limbo while crucial visual effects awaited completion.

It took long enough to be released that, since shooting wrapped, the film's co-stars Kaya Scodelario and Benjamin Walker began dating, got married, and had two children. Wild.

After changing hands between various companies, the film was finally released earlier this year, and to the surprise of no-one was widely panned for its messy story - clearly chopped to pieces in the years since shooting - and atrocious VFX. An absolute dud, but hardly a shocker.
