6. Viola Davis' Awesome Introduction To Meryl Streep
Viola Davis probably should've been handed another Golden Globe for her magnificent introduction to Meryl Streep, who was receiving the coveted Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award.
Davis began with an amusing impersonation of Steep while commenting on her incredible ability to read people and infuse it into her performances, before stating that Streep makes her proud to be an artist, and assures her that her body, her face and her age are enough.
It was an absolutely riveting introduction that clearly came from the heart and said much about the place of middle-aged women in Hollywood. It was followed by a splendid montage of Streep's finest roles before she took to the stage for her own electrifying speech.
