8. Alice Defeats Nemesis, He Saves The Day (Resident Evil: Apocalypse)
As if the cheap-o Nemesis effects weren't bad enough, the iconic video game villain was totally ruined when Alice was forced to fight him to the death in order to figure out who was the superior specimen.
Cue a ridiculous fight scene where Alice manages to hold her own in both a fist fight and a sword fight, before impaling him on some metal and expressing remorse after realising Nemesis is, of course, her pal from the first movie, Matt (Eric Mabius).
Nemesis then turns on Umbrella, slaughtering any soldiers who get in his or Alice's way, and finally using a rocket launcher to destroy a chopper that was about to fire on Alice. Nemesis did so at the cost of his own life, though, as the flaming chopper crashed directly onto him afterwards.
As anyone who's played Resident Evil: Nemesis knows, this couldn't be further from how it's supposed to go down. Nemesis' humanity shines through and he sacrifices himself to save the protagonist? What is this s***?
